About this site
Caspian Eleven is an independent, English-language guide to Azerbaijani football. It exists because almost nothing about the Misli Premyer Liqası is written in English, and what is, goes stale.
Scheduled updates
Schedules run when the production service is active. Source availability may delay updates. Currently tracking 12 clubs, 276 players, 21 stadiums, 205 matches, 63 transfers and 46 stories.
Sources
The league table comes from the Azerbaijan Professional Football League's own API — the authoritative source, which accounts for technical results and points deductions that recalculating from scores would miss. Fixtures and results come from TheSportsDB. Squads, top scorers and head coaches come from Wikipedia and Wikidata, cross-checked against club sites and the PFL's registration lists.
Transfers are detected rather than typed: the squad job runs daily, and a player who appears in a squad that did not contain him yesterday has signed, while one who disappears has left. Moves between two clubs in this league are joined into a single record.
News comes from Offside Plus, APA Sport, Arena.az, Futbolinfo.az, APA, Trend, News.az, AzerNews, Oxu.az, Lent.az and Qafqazinfo, and is translated into English automatically. Stadium photographs come from Wikimedia Commons and other public sources, and are used for identification and reporting; rights remain with their owners. Club crests belong to the clubs and are shown for identification only.
Corrections
Azerbaijani football data is genuinely inconsistent between sources — stadium capacities in particular vary widely, and English Wikipedia's league pages have frozen mid-season before now. Where sources conflict, this site says so rather than picking one silently. If you spot something wrong, please get in touch.
