Azerbaijan U-21s hold Czechia to draw in Masazir
Azerbaijan's under-21 side earned a point in their Euro 2027 qualifier against Czechia at the Masazir Arena after responding to an early opener with a first-half equalizer.

Azerbaijan's under-21 national team drew 1-1 with the Czech Republic in a European Championship qualifying match in Masazir. Filip Lissah opened the scoring for the visitors in the 38th minute, before Eşqin Əhmədov equalized for Azerbaijan in the 45th minute.
The Group B fixture was officiated by a team of referees from Ireland led by Aaron O’Dud. Following this result, the Azerbaijani side sits fifth in the group with 7 points after 8 games, while the Czech Republic is second with 15 points.
Azerbaijan's upcoming qualifying matches are scheduled away against Scotland on September 30 and at home against Gibraltar on October 6.
