Qurban Qurbanov: we are building an entirely new team
Qarabağ head coach Qurban Qurbanov reflected on his side's 1-0 victory over Şəfa in the Misli Premyer Liqasi, noting that they are building a completely new team and need time to gel.
Qarabağ defeated Şəfa with a 1-0 score in the 6th round of the Misli Premyer Liqasi. Head coach Qurban Qurbanov stated after the match that the team is building an entirely new squad and may look to strengthen it during the winter transfer window if suitable opportunities arise.
Qurbanov also noted that injured players Bəhlul Mustafazadə and Elvin Jafarguliyev missed out on national team duty, with Mustafazadė expected to return to action within a maximum of 10 days following surgery. Şəfa head coach Zaur Həşimov expressed satisfaction with his team's overall performance despite the narrow defeat, noting that they had limited Qarabağ's clear chances before conceding from a penalty.
