Rashad Eyyubov praises character after Czech Republic draw
Azerbaijan Under-21 coach Rashad Eyyubov praised his players' character after they secured a 1-1 draw against the Czech Republic in Baku in European Championship qualifying.
Azerbaijan's under-21 national team head coach Rashad Eyyubov commented on his side's match against the Czech Republic. The teams met in Baku at the Masazir Arena as part of the U-21 Euro 2027 qualifying round, with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.
Both goals were scored in the first half after the visitors opened the scoring and the hosts equalized before the break. Eyyubov stated after the match that it was a very heavy game and noted that his players showed character despite not being fully ready for the full 90 minutes in terms of intensity.
He added that the important point for them now is to recover properly and prepare for the next match.
