The title was mathematically secured with four rounds still to play, when Neftçi beat second-placed Qarabağ and left a gap Qarabağ could no longer close. It ended twelve consecutive championships for Qarabağ.
Sabah finished the 33-round campaign with 78 points from 24 wins, six draws and three defeats, scoring 75 and conceding a league-low 25, and closed the season on 24 May by beating third-placed Turan Tovuz 2-1. German-born forward Joy-Lance Mickels was the division's top scorer with 19 league goals and 28 in all competitions. Lithuanian coach Valdas Dambrauskas, appointed in June 2025 on a three-year deal after Vasili Berezutski left by mutual consent, delivered the title in his first full season.
Eleven days before the league ended, Sabah had already beaten Zirə in the Azerbaijan Cup final to retain the trophy and complete the first domestic double in the club's history.
