The story
Built by AFFA in 2001 and originally named Şəfa Stadium — it is still widely called that, and the very first match played here was Şəfa against NK Olimpija Ljubljana in the UEFA Cup, the club's only European tie. Twenty-five years later the ground has its original club back: Şəfa returned to the top flight for 2026/27 and play their home fixtures here.
