The story
The stadium predates its tenant by three years — it opened in October 2014 as Alinja Arena, named after the castle in Nakhchivan, and Sabah FK did not exist until September 2017. In July 2026 it hosted a Champions League qualifier.
Built with around 13,000 seats and reduced since; the club quotes 8,700, the league registers 8,969.
