The story
In 2015-16, playing in the second tier, Kəpəz averaged nearly 15,000 here — almost triple the next-best club in Azerbaijan — and in February 2016 set the all-time Premier League attendance record of 20,400 against Qarabağ. The condemned old arena was demolished at the end of 2023 and the club spent two seasons as nomads in Tovuz and Yevlakh before the rebuilt stadium was opened by the President on 27 September 2025.
Azerbaijan's third-largest football ground. Sources still circulate the pre-demolition figure of 26,120 — that stadium no longer exists.
