The story
Opened jointly by Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini on 6 June 2011 — a FIFA president and a UEFA president cutting the ribbon on a suburban ground seating around 6,500. It is the centrepiece of the AFFA Football Centre, which also holds two covered training pitches, a beach-soccer stadium and the national academy.
Also known as the Liv Bona Dea Arena. Its pitch was relaid with a hybrid surface ahead of the 2026/27 season.
