The story

Neftçi Arena is a football stadium in Baku’s Nizami district, opened on 14 September 2012. It has a capacity of about 11,000 spectators and is the home stadium of Neftçi PFK. It was originally called 8 km Stadium, became Bakcell Arena in 2013, and was renamed Neftçi Arena in 2023. Since August 2025, its official sponsored name has been Palms Sports Arena. The arena is a UEFA Category 4 stadium and has hosted international competitions including the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, European club competition matches, and World Cup/European Championship qualifiers.

Serially renamed: 8 km Stadionu → Bakcell Arena (2013-23) → Neftçi Arena → currently branded Palms Sports Arena.
