Gabala have essentially never played European football at home. During their landmark 2015-16 Europa League group stage they hosted PAOK, Krasnodar and Borussia Dortmund at the Bakcell Arena in Baku, around 225 km away, because their own ground could not be licensed for UEFA fixtures.
